dc.description |
Water samples were collected at bottom, mid-depth, and surface at six stations along a transect running from the middle of Mobile Bay to the shelf in the northern Gulf of Mexico, from June 2010 to May 2012. Data include concentrations of dimethyl sulfide (DMS), dimethylsulfoniopropionate (DMSP), dissolved oxygen, and dissolved methane, and bacterial biomass production via leucine incorporation. The transect utilized for this study is part of the Fisheries Oceanography of Coastal Alabama (FOCAL) program, which collects long-term baseline hydrographic data and plankton samples toward understanding the highly variable nature of Alabama's nearshore environment as it relates to fisheries production. |
