Decomposition Experiment.xlsx
This file contains two datasheets. The first sheet, titled metadata, contains column title information for the second sheet. The second sheet contains data on stable isotope values from liver, skin, and muscle of a stranded dolphin and manatee. The dolphin and manatee stranded in coastal Alabama waters in 2019 (dolphin) and 2021 (manatee) These tissues were exposed to natural conditions and allowed to decompose. Samples were taken on days 0 (before being put out to decompose), 1, 3, 6, and 10 during decomposition. This sheet contains stable carbon and nitrogen isotopes, total amount of carbon and nitrogen, tissue type, species, day sampled, and accumulated degree days (ADD), which is the sum of daily temperatures.
